Privacy, Data Protection and Cookie Statements
Privacy Policy:
Odyssey PDA captures and stores information related to your name, e-mail address and the groups you have chosen to join and attend for the purpose of establishing contact, offering support, sharing hub group information/meeting dates and newsletter distribution services. All other data collected from the contact form, or where you may have shared additional details about your personal circumstances, family, or alternative contact methods will be kept confidentially for the purpose of offering support.
We respect your privacy and will never sell your data only sharing this with trusted services that help us run our support group, like our email platform. No details held will be disclosed with a third party without your consent, unless this is related to safeguarding.
Should you wish to be removed from a mailing list, there is an ‘unsubscribe’ link within our newsletters or you can email support@odysseypda.co.uk requesting your email be removed from the distribution list. Once requested, all identifying personal data held in connection with the support group will be deleted.
Members of the 'Caring for PDA Adults', Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire Hubs automatically join a separate email list operated by the hosts of each Hub Group. These are shared directly from our central database so if you choose to unsubscribe from the members distribution list you will also be removed from the Hub Group. Each Hub Group leader is responsible for keeping confidential any lists that are sent to them. When sending emails everyone will be BCC’d for privacy unless there has been a specific agreement to be CC’d and you have agreed other members may directly contact you.
Members of the ‘Caring for PDA Adults’ group are also invited to join a WhatsApp group, but this is undertaken on the understanding that this is at the Members own risk as Hilary and Odyssey PDA cannot guarantee to keep your personal data confidential within this media.
This website also contains links to other third party sites. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party site. Odyssey PDA are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
Data Protection Complaints:
Should you wish to raise a data protection complaint under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (this amends both UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 legislation), please email: support@odysseypda.co.uk, using the title ‘Data Protection Complaint’. Please include full details of what you believe to have been breached including events, relevant dates, personal data involved and any supporting evidence. Alternatively, you may forward your complaint in writing to: Odyssey PDA, 17 Beech Tree Road, Holmer Green, Bucks, HP15 6UZ.

The complaint will be investigated without undue delay, but if the complaint is more complex and the investigation may take longer updates will be provided.
A written outcome will be shared including decisions, reasons and any corrective or preventative action taken. However, should you be dissatisfied with the outcome this can be escalated to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Wycliffe House, Water lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF; Telephone: 0303 123 1113, Website: www.ico.org.uk.
